How Can We Live Together?
convivial lunch, workshop
B32, Maastricht, 2024
Rooted in the complicated historical context of B32’s building and the legacy of De Ravelijn — formerly a woonschool (dwelling-school) in Dutch — this gathering brought together residents from (and outside) the De Ravelijn district in Maastricht. It was both a response to the neighborhood’s layered past and an effort to create a bridging moment between the local community and the artistic world.
Using the shared experience of a lunch as a convivial platform, and through performative tools such as scores and collective drawing, ‘how can we live together?’ served as an open invitation to explore dialogue through difference.
The event invited participants to engage in conversations about shared needs, local histories, and the spaces that shape their community.
How Can We Live Together? was part of the public program for yellow brick, blue brick, perpetually, curated by Sjoerd Beijers at B32 in Maastricht.
